Host families of the six students currently staying in Kedah Chapter were feted to dinner recently, joined by staff and Board Chair of Antarabudaya Malaysia. Also present were the six host students from Italy and United States and their Liaison Persons.
Chapter President Rohayah Yusof introduced the families, some of whom have hosted students in the past and some of whom were hosting for the very first time. She encouraged the families to stay in touch so they can support each other, share experiences and learn from one another in managing their new sons and daughters from another part of the world.
Board Chair Khalilah Talha thanked the families for opening their homes and hearts to the exchange students and hoped their journey with AFS would be a long and fruitful one. Kuhan Kandiah spoke about training opportunities and looked forward to conducting hybrid ICL sessions with Kedah volunteers.
