Due to the unprecedented circumstances arising from measures implemented nationwide to limit the spread of Covid19, AFS Malaysia held a virtual Annual General Meeting for the first time in its history.
Five resolutions were presented at the 13th AGM, with three regarding the appointment of Datuk Yasmin Yusuf, Elangeshwaran a/l Muthusamy and Jolyn Tan as Board Directors, all of whom were unanimously approved by members. The Meeting also agreed a new auditor, Messrs T Bernard & Co be appointed to replace the retiring auditor, Messrs Azman Ahmad & Co.
The Meeting also adopted a new Constitution for the Yayasan which is now streamlined with the Companies Act 2016 and will provide clarity to certain provisions, improve administrative efficiency and ensure consistency with other provisions in the Constitution.
