In another series of firsts, AFS Malaysia hosted the annual AAI Outstanding Volunteer Awards Ceremony which was streamed live on facebook and via Zoom on World Volunteer Day.
More than 300 volunteers from the Asia-Pacific region tuned in to the online event which was officiated by AFS Intercultural Programs President Daniel Obst in New York. The 1.5 hour long ceremony featured videos of winners and entertainment from all AAI Partners, compiled and coordinated by an AFS Malaysia team comprising National Office staff, returnees and volunteers.
